Introduced by the very first objects donated to the museum, it presents the creation of the Franco-Australian association and the beginnings of the museum.
Sequence 2:
War memoirs
The largest of the museum, it tells, through many testimonies, the history of Australia in the 1st World War, since the creation of the Australian Commonwealth in 1901 until the return of the soldiers in 1918 - 1919.
Sequence 3:
Memories of men
This space under glass roof, dedicated to the memory of soldiers, presents in drawers, objects and personal documents of soldiers.
An innovative way to share these objects with the public while preserving them.
Sequence 4:
Memories of a city
A series of Australian archival photographs accompanies you to the last sequence which traces the history of friendship between Villers-Bretonneux and Australia, thanks to the links that unite them since the 1st World War.
